Blizzard Hits the Upper Midwest Hard
A severe winter storm has closed roads and schools in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
A blizzard warning remains in effect for much of southeast South Dakota until 4 a.m.
That area has already seen as much as 8 inches of snow.
I-29 is closed from Tea, South Dakota to the Iowa border.
Officials in Minnesota closed I-90 west of Albert Lea to the South Dakota border because of hazardous driving conditions.
The state patrol says nearly 300 crashes have been reported statewide.
Schools throughout the region shut down for the day.
