Bail Set for Suspect in Fatal Enderlin Shooting

Bond is set for the man accused in a fatal drive-by shooting in Enderlin over the weekend.

Bail is set at $1 million for 28-year-old Paul Miller, who is accused of shooting and killing Billy Holladay of Enderlin.

Both Miller and Holladay’s family filled the Ransom County Courthouse in Lisbon.

One woman even had a shirt with Holladay’s face printed on it.

Judge Jay Schmitz agreed with the state attorney’s request for bail to be set at $1 million, saying he considers Miller a threat to the community.

“It’s the state’s position that due to the death here involved, the seriousness of the alleged acts and the indifference to the life of Billy Holladay who was the person who lost his life…that a reasonable bond would be $1 million cash only.”

Miller is charged with murder and reckless endangerment.

The maximum punishment is life in prison without parole.

The Ransom County Sherriff says the community is still in shock.

He says the investigation into Holladay’s death is still ongoing…there is still no timeframe when that will be complete.
