Monthly Meetings Discuss State UAS Prospects

Hundreds of companies gathered in Fargo to talk about UAS or unmanned aerial vehicle opportunities in North Dakota.

International companies flew in to join the conversation on the potential drones may have in our future.

Industry leaders gather monthly to talk about regulations and possible uses of drones.

North Dakota is one of six states allowed to have drone test sites.

The state hopes to convince other companies to invest in the state’s UAS industries.

“It is truly just to provide a networking event so that companies can not only learn about what North Dakota has to offer in the UAS industry but what some of our North Dakota companies can offer them as well,” says Al Anderson of North Dakota  Commissioner of Commerce.

Many believe that North Dakota can become the drone capital of North America.
