North Dakota Man Sentenced in Federal Sex Abuse Case

A North Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison on a federal sexual abuse charge.

Troy Woods Jr., 28, pleaded guilty in November for the January 2014 incident on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.

Authorities say Woods was with a woman who was “incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct.”

A defense attorney says Woods does not admit that it was a forcible sex act.
