Local Air Guard Economic Impacts Nearly $100 million to Region

A new study shows that the Air National Guard’s 119th Wing, also known as the Happy Hooligans, generates more than $93 million in gross business volume.

The Air Guard’s presence supports another 764 jobs and creates $63 million in personal income.

The 119th Wing is ranked the 35th largest employer in the metro area with 425 employees.

NDSU Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics conducted the study.
