Benefit for Moszer Family Hits Close to Home
As support continues to pour in for the Moszer family, one benefit hits extra close to home.
The Sabin Fire Department, along with the Lions Club, were prepared to feed 4,000 people at the pasta benefit held for Officer Moszer’s wife and two kids.
Sabin is home to the Moszer family.
Thanks to volunteers from all over the community, no one left with an empty stomach.
“We’re definitely grateful for everybody that has come in and not only donated their money but also their time. It’s really exciting to see all of the community members come together and be part of one project here,” says Sabin Lions Club Secretary, Chad Byram.
Byram says shortly after Officer Moszer’s death, his phone kept ringing with people from the community pushing for some sort of benefit.
He says it’s a testament to the kind of people that make up the small, close knit town.
