Police Chief David Todd: No Position Taken on Legalizing Recreational Marijuana

Fargo’s police chief is taking on a blogger for The Forum.

Rob Port wrote that Chief David Todd supports medicinal marijuana and seems to be at least open to the idea of legalizing recreational use.

Todd says he feels Port is misinterpreting what he said about legalizing marijuana.

He says medical marijuana needs to go through FDA approval.

Todd says he did not take a position on the legalization of recreational marijuana in his comments.

He says he spoke about the failure of leadership from the federal government on the issue and says that it has put law enforcement in an impossible situation.

Port has since rewritten his article.
