F-M Diversion Will Cost More

The projected cost of the F-M Diversion has risen to beyond $2 billion.

The previous projection was $1.8 billion.

Diversion Authority Chairman Darrell Vanyo says the revised cost estimate will be released Thursday during meetings of committees working on the diversion.

He says reasons for the higher number will be explained then.

The authority’s financial consultant will review the figure and recommendations will be made later on what the greatest needs are as the diversion moves ahead.
