Siren Drills Sound, Reminders of Severe Weather Awareness

If you live or work in Minnesota, you may have heard loud sirens.

The sirens are one of five weather safety exercises that local agencies have hosted all week long, as a part of Minnesota’s Severe Weather Awareness week.

It is designed to remind, refresh and educate us on the threats of severe weather, and how to be prepared.

According to the National Weather Service, each year Minnesota averages up to 40 tornadoes.
