What to Know Before Going to the Polls
Election officials want to make sure everyone who wants to vote is eligible by the time the June primary rolls around.
The Fargo Library hosted a voter information series to help get the word out.
Cass County Election Coordinator DeAnn Buckhouse says the biggest issue facing voters is registering your current address.
You must live in your voting district for 30 days before the election, and register your new address with the Department of Transportation.
You don’t necessarily need to get a new drivers license, and you can change up address up until the last minute.
Buckhouse explains, “They can change their address with the DOT, say three, four days before the election, and we will get that information from the DOT.”
The Downtown Fargo Library is hosting another voter information session April 28th at 7 PM.
