Stop Your Medication from Getting in the Wrong Hands
Moorhead Police and Hornbachers are teaming up to make sure your medication doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
Starting this Saturday, people can drop of their medications at Hornbacher’s on Main Avenue and at Azool.
More than 100 pounds of medications were collected during last year’s event.
Officers are expecting another big turn-out as the prescription drug epidemic continues to grow.
“Often times somebody accesses these prescriptions and either takes them for personal use or takes them to sell or trade so we recognize that it’s just best to get rid of these items,” says Lt. Tory Jacobson of Moorhead PD.
Jacobson says often people get more medication than needed from their providers.
He encourages anyone who saves that medication to drop it off.
