Raising Awareness On Sex Trafficking One Step At A Time

A local group is fighting against sex trafficking through, and giving victims hope for, a new life.

A Walk for Awareness is literally movement to empower people to better understand this problem and also help with the healing process for victims.
 
Dozens of people joined the local organization, The Next Step ND, in its fundraiser.

Their focus is to help bridge the gap for survivors of human trafficking trying to get back into the community.

Other abuse agencies came to support and unite against the fight.
 
“The main thing is right now people can take small steps and helping to raise awareness, talking about it, educating themselves with materials and websites that are reputable,” says The Next Step ND team member Lisa Hanson.
 
All proceeds will go to help survivors with financial need.
