Moorhead Church Uses Pie To Help Local Shelter

Some pie, some salad and friendship, all for a worthy cause.
 
Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead has been hosting the Pie and Salad luncheon for more than a decade.

This year, our friends Alison Voorhees and Rob Kupec joined in on the fun.

The church raises money for a different non-profit each year.

This year, proceeds go to Churches United’s new housing project.

Becky Olson with Trinity Lutheran says, “The board felt that with their new housing project they probably would need some funds for furnishing rooms and equipment in the new facility.”
 
The church doesn’t have a fundraising goal in mind, but says about 300 people contributed to Churches United during the luncheon.
