“If Tomorrow Never Comes” There Will Be Thousands of Sad Garth Fans
We’re only one day away from Garth Brooks at the Fargodome.
Come tomorrow night, this parking lot will be filled as one of country’s biggest stars will take over the Fargodome for the next four days.
The Fargodome and Fargo PD have a few pieces of advice for all concert goers.
Ever since the first concert was announced, Tom Kasper’s phone just won’t stop ringing.
“People call here before they can even get tickets just to make sure they can get close to the dome since were right across the street,” says Homewood Suites Hilton General Manager, Tom Kasper.
Homewood Suites Hilton is completely booked and they have been for a while.
Kasper says most people staying at the hotel will walk to the concert but not everyone is quite so lucky.
“12th ave, 19th ave, and 40th will be the main ways to get to the Fargodome,” says Deputy Chief Joe Anderson of Fargo PD.
And it’s going to be busy, Anderson warns drivers to leave in plenty of time before the concert, to be patient, and make sure to park legally.
Fargodome parking lots will open at 4 p.m. and costs $5 per vehicle.
“Understanding that this is a rather significant event, there’s going to be a lot of foot traffic,” says Anderson.
Once you make it to the dome, make sure you have the right ticket.
The Fargodome is reminding concert goers that they will not be able to exchange tickets if you show up on the wrong night.
With over 18,000 guests expected in the area things will get busy.
But Fargo PD are upping their staff every night.
“Obviously this is a large event but we feel we have it well under control,” says Anderson.
And while non-concert goers might have a tough time getting around town the next few days, area hotel workers are enjoying the business.
“It’s kind of nice because it fills a Sunday night which typically in the hotel business is a little bit quieter,” says Kasper.
You may pick up your tickets at the main entrance box office on the east side of the Fargo dome.
You can pick them up starting at 12 the day of show only.
The Fargodome also has a few recommended routes to take to get here including:
Northbound I-29 exit on 12th Avenue North to 18th Street. Southbound I-29 exit on 19th Avenue North.
In town traffic use 10th Street North to either 17th or 19th Avenue North.
Eastbound 12th Avenue traffic to 18th Street North.
Westbound 12th Avenue traffic to 10th Street North.
