Fargo Street Fair Kicks Off Thursday Downtown
Ponchos, umbrellas, and puddles were common sights for Fargo’s Downtown Street Fair’s opening day.
But the weather didn’t stop people from visiting Fargo’s Downtown Street Fair from here in the Red River Valley to as far away as the longhorn state of Texas.
“It’s really eventful,” Kristen Gorman of Fort Worth, Texas said. “[There’s] lots of music playing and kids singing. [There’s] lots of beautiful jewelry and artwork, so it’s a nice day to be out.”
It didn’t damper musical groups from performing flash mobs, and business owners’ hopes that the weather would improve as the day went on.
“We just relax,” Mirco Morganti of Toscana said. “We stay under the tent and listen to people sing and talk to people and that’s it, and we hope for a turnaround for the weather.”
Plenty of fair staples were present, including cheese curds and these quesadillas.
Whether you come to the street fair for business or pleasure, there’s no question both are worth your time for fun.
The fair opens both Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m.
The 2016 street fair closes at 5 p.m. Saturday.
