Essentia Health Unveils Memorial Donor Wall

Organ donors give the gift of life to others, and Essentia Health wants to make sure those heroes are never forgotten.

A new memorial wall in the Essentia Health ER waiting room will feature donors who gave organs, eyes or tissue.

The decorated wall has a TV that flips through pictures of the donors throughout the day.

It’s a feeling of comfort for many donor families to know their loved ones will forever live on.

“People will remember our loved ones, and know that they can always come see them here and that it also kind of sparks the talk of organ donation for other people,” says Donor mom, Bobbi Fetzer.
 
55 donors are featured on the wall. Fetzer says she’s happy to see the display is electronic. She says that way more donors can be added to ensure the wall continues to grow.
