Walking To Remember Loved Ones

A morning walk in north Fargo is helping many get through the pain of losing someone.

More than 250 people took part in the Tenth Annual Walk to Remember.

People are putting one foot in front of the other to cope with the loss of a child.

The Compassionate Friends organized the event to reach more parents and let them know they’re not alone.

“It really is a healing for myself and my husband. When you lose a child you never want them to be forgotten and this is a good way to keep their memory alive,” says The Compassionate Friends Meeting Facilitator Kara Bailey.

The group walked three miles from Oak Grove Park to Island Park’s Angel of Hope.

There they released balloons and butterflies in honor of their loved ones.
