Teaching Teens Leadership
Teens gather at Fargo South High School for the Third Annual Eastern Dakota Conference Leadership Academy.
The event is held for teens that have been selected by their peers demonstrating superb leadership qualities.
Students will participate in workshops focusing on social media etiquette along with other valuable skills.
They’ll also hear from keynote speaker and former Minnesota Vikings player Keith Nord.
“These kids cast a pretty wide swath in their schools they’re the kids who have been identified as the leaders so we think that when they bring those skills back to their kids that its spreads out amongst more kids. That’s kind of the idea of training our leaders,” says Student Activities Director, Fargo Public Schools Todd Olson.
The leaders at today’s event consisted of athletes, artists, and academics.
They can take the skills they learn and pass them along to their peers.
