Gov. Dayton Unhappy with FM Diversion
Governer Dayton says he’s disappointed with the new Commander of the Army Corps of Engineers in regards to the F-M Flood Diversion.
In a letter, Dayton says he’s “dismayed” at him for not considering Minnesota’s unresolved issues before proceeding with the $2.2 billion project.
Dayton says state support for the project “is by no means guaranteed.”
The commander, Lieutenant General Todd Semonite, met with local leaders in Fargo last month to inspect flood diversion construction.
