UND Officials Close Racism on Social Media Investigation
A UND investigation has concluded that two incidents involving racially charged photos on social media don’t violate the school’s student conduct code.
The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities’ conclusion is based on free speech, according to university officials.
They say the decision comes after a thorough investigation into each incident, but say the institution’s ability to disclose details of the findings is restricted by federal law.
University President Mark Kennedy says he remains “appalled” the photos were conceived and disseminated.
