Moorhead Unveils Plans for Future Growth

The City of Moorhead is announcing its plans for growth around the city.

The city is inviting the public to an open house about its Growth Area Plans at the Hjemkomst Center.

The meeting will give the public a chance to hear and ask questions about the city’s plans.

The open house serves as a road map to guide development and public improvements.

“The purpose of this plan really is to look at those future growth areas, look at their future land use needs and look at the initiatives for that growth should that growth occur,” said Project Manager Peggy Harter. “So once that’s designated, it can help support future infrastructure needs for the city of Moorhead.”

Topics covered in the open house included improvements to infrastructure and the city’s park facilities.
