Lighting of the Fargo Christmas Tree
Before the Holiday Lights Parade got started there were some other lights that had to be turned on.
The tree outside of the Depot downtown was turned on by four–year–old Jackson Yohe.
Jackson’s family donated the 30 foot tall tree to the Fargo Park District and were recognized at the event.
“It’s always inspiring to watch those young people and their eyes light up when they see a symbol like this. It really drives the community again, coming as one and we talk about in this season truly it is about family and friends and we want to make sure that we celebrate that,” says Fargo Park District Director, Joel Vettel.
The tree will stay put through the holidays and into the new year.
