Donate Blood, Get a Free Pie!

 Want to help out and also score a free Thanksgiving dessert?

United Blood Services will be giving away free apple or pumpkin pies to those who donate between now and Friday.

If you want to donate on Thursday, you will need to make an appointment.

On Friday, walk–ins are welcome between 7:00am and 2:00pm.

They say the giveaway is to help encourage donations around the holidays.

“Right now, between Thanksgiving and the New Year, is really when we start to struggle to see enough people volunteering because they are traveling,” said Tami Kilzer with United Blood Services. “You know, we’re pulled in many different directions but we really do have to rely on the community. There is no substitute for blood.”
