Maplewood Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect who Attacked Popeyes Employee

Police in Maplewood, Minnesota are hoping you can look at this surveillance footage and help them catch an armed robber.

Police say the man walked through the unlocked back door of the Popeyes Chicken Restaurant on November 17th after two employees had gone to take the trash to the dumpster.

The suspect then grabs another employee from behind and the two begin fighting over the gun.

The suspect then pistol whipped the employee, who had started to strip the suspect of his clothes and ran from the restaurant.

Police say they are testing the suspect’s clothes for DNA.
