Fargo’s Extreme Pita in a Period of Bad Luck?

A local business is cleaning up after a vehicle crashed through the front door last night.

The catch is this isn’t the first time this has happened to the restaurant and the timing…couldn’t have been worse.

This was the scene last night when Extreme Pita Co–Owner Jesus Vega arrived to find a car had crashed through the building.

When his employees called he thought it was a prank.

“You can’t really get me with a practical joke,” said Vega. “But this time, I thought they had me. This only happens in movies it doesn’t happen in real life.”

Employees say perhaps the most tragic aspect of this accident is just earlier that morning they had just begun the final stage of repairs from the previous accident.

“Finally we got everything, you know knocked out one by one, one by one where ‘oh this is completed’, ‘that’s completed’, ‘this is completed’, ‘that’s completed’ and we thought we were all set… and then it happened again,” said Vega.

He says the previous crash came as a double edged sword for business.

“Like ‘hey we should go to the store and give them some business’, where on the other hand, like, well you know, ‘they should take some precautions to prevent this stuff’,” he said with a shrug. “But it’s one of those things you don’t have any control over it.”

Luckily, this time, Vega says the damage wasn’t as bad for the business.

For the landlord however, replacing the door may end up taking longer and costing more to repair completely.

Employees say they expect to open by Friday morning.
