Winter Blues? Fargo Park District Waiting on Mother Nature

It hasn’t been cold enough or snowy enough for sledding hills, ice rinks and snow mobile trails.

In order to ensure safety, the temperature needs to get down below the freezing point and stay consistent.

Park Department workers are fully prepared to start the outdoor activities set-up…but they are just waiting on Mother Nature for the go.

“We just ask people to bear with us and certainly understand that conditions are not right now ideal for us to have anything out there as far as winter activities,” said Executive Director Joel Vettel. “But they’re coming and they’re coming quick.”

Once the Park Department has an opening date, they’ll put it on its website, Twitter, and Facebook page.
