Women’s Rights Activist Wendy Davis Says Planned Parenthood will Survive Trump Presidency
With Donald Trump winning the presidential election, many women are worried about their access to Planned Parenthood.
Former Texas State Senator Wendy Davis, who is known for advocating women rights, was the keynote speaker at the annual Progress on the Prairie Event at Elevate in Fargo.
Davis reassured people that even though there will be a new President…the doors at Planned Parenthood will remain open.
“We are going to be called upon I think more than we ever have before in the coming weeks and months and years to make sure that we are a voice of reason and the face of what is likely to be a continued assault,” said Davis.
More than 2,800 people in North Dakota receive health care at Planned Parenthood’s Moorhead clinic each year.
