AT&T Volunteers Pack Boxes for Local Seniors
Area AT&T employees spent a part of their day building holiday baskets for local seniors in need.
AT&T donated five thousand dollars to the Great Plains Food Bank to help build the baskets.
The Senior Food Pack Program provides food and toiletries that the volunteers will pack for 700 seniors in the area.
The items in the toiletry boxes range from soap to Christmas ornaments and they’ll also get food.
“That’s the best part right there, reaching out to our direct community. Our donations are making a positive impact here in Fargo and the surrounding areas which is really important to us,” said Amanda McCuen, AT&T Store Manager. “I believe they are being delivered fairly soon just right before the holidays right before Christmas. So they will have some extra money for gifts for their family members as well.”
This is the sixth year AT&T has partnered with the Great Plains Food Bank to build the baskets.
