DAPL Veterans Allegedly Harass Cass County Deputies with Snowballs
Two female Cass County Sheriff’s deputies say they were harassed by pipeline protestors who identified themselves as veterans.
The officers say the individuals were at Turtle Hill in Morton County trying to break wire surrounding private property with ropes and grappling hooks.
They were confronted with snowballs being thrown at them.
The protestors warned the officers that more veterans are on the way and they “should be ready for what’s coming.”
“Here they are throwing snowballs, they are cursing vulgar things at female officers…we had other veterans on the banks and it’s just disappointing that they are disrespecting everything that they say that they stand for,” said one of the deputies.
The protesters were attempting to trespass onto private property.
