Church Women United Spreads Holiday Cheer at Christmas Social

A Fargo group celebrates the gift of giving.

Members of Church Women United hosted their Christmas social at the New Life Center.

Church Women United is a non–profit organization for women who are active volunteers in their area.

People at the event enjoyed holiday treats as well as Christmas carols.

Everyone who attended brought in different gifts to donate.

“It looks like they brought in a variety of socks, gloves, hats, that type of things,” said Jeff Peterson, who is with the New Life Center. “These are just basic needs that gentleman staying with us and the other places they support desperately need so this is a wonderful thing today.”

All of the donations will go to the New Life Center, YWCA, and Churches United for the Homeless.
