Moorhead Political Activist Injured in Car Crash in Morton County

A GoFundMe account has been set up for a local political activist injured in a crash last night in Morton County after supporting the water protectors.

Karl Keene of Moorhead was riding in a car driven by a Dilworth man on Highway 6 around 6 o’clock.

Their car was hit head on by an SUV attempting to pass another vehicle.

Keene and two others were hurt.

He suffered a fractured pelvis, punctured lung, broken back and other lacerations.

He was flown to a Twin Cities hospital.

We interviewed Keene back in February when he was marching as a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
