12-Year-Old Fargo Boy Gives Back to the Police Department

Fargo police officers got an early Christmas gift from a 12-year-old boy.

“In these care packages there are Life Savers to remind the police, back here, um, of how many times they have been a lifesaver to someone in need,” said 12-year-old Alex Heizelman of Fargo.

He donated 165 care baskets to officers at the Fargo Police Department.

Officers presented Alex with his own Fargo PD and SWAT shoulder patches.

Alex says he was inspired to donate the baskets after the death of Officer Moszer and the law enforcement involved shootings across the country.

He says he lived on Officer Moszer’s beat and knew him well.
