West Fargo Library’s Mitten Tree Open for Decorating
A West Fargo library is taking part in the giving season through a Christmas tree.
The tradition of the Mitten Tree continues this year at the West Fargo Public Library.
Anyone is welcome to place new or gently used scarves, hats or gloves on the tree.
The items will go to West Fargo Elementary Schools and given to kids who need these items the most.
Lauren Nephew of the West Fargo Public Library says the kids love these gifts.
“They’re extremely grateful,” said Nephew. “It also allows them to go outside with the other kids if they don’t have these things so they also get excited about that opportunity and also they’re just happy to be warm and comfortable in the weather around here.”
Anyone is welcome to add winter wear to the tree up until New Year’s Eve.
