Firefighters Ring the Bell for the Salvation Army

The Salvation Army got some special help this afternoon from the Fargo Fire Department.

Off–duty firefighters were all over town manning the donation kettles and ringing their bells for The Salvation Army.

Each year, the Fargo Fire Department, the Police Department and the North Dakota and Minnesota Association of REALTORS each spend a day volunteering to see who can raise the most money for the charity.

“Salvation Army has always been a big part of helping the fire department and the police department when emergencies do happen. They’re there for us. I’ve been doing this every year. I enjoy just spending my time to help out the Salvation Army who’s always been there to help us,” says Fargo Firefighter, Robert Darrah.

The Salvation Army says it still has shifts that need to be filled between now and Christmas.
