House Fire In Dilworth Harms Nobody – Small Dog Saved

A home in Dilworth is heavily damaged after a house fire late Saturday night.

Fire crews were called to the 100 block of Bean Ave. at around 10:45 p.m.

They say the flames were inside the living room with lots of heavy smoke coming out of the windows.

Fire Chief Mark Empting says nobody except a small dog was found inside the home during the fire. He says crew members were able to get the dog out, and say it is now safe.

Authorities say the homeowners were out of town when the fire started.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no other homes were damaged.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and nobody was hurt.

No damage estimates are available at this time.
