Moorhead Snowplow Driver Cited in Injury Crash

The driver was cited after police say he crossed the centerline and caused the accident

One person was hurt and the driver of a Moorhead city snow plow was cited following a crash.

It happened shortly after 6 a.m. on Highway 75 near the 15th Avenue North intersection.

Police say the snowplow was southbound when it crossed the highway centerline, forcing the northbound car to take evasive action to avoid a head-on crash.

The two vehicles then sideswiped each other.

The car’s driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The plow driver, Marcus Geiszler, was ticketed for a lane violation.
