First Bill of MN Legislative Session Signed into Law
Governor Mark Dayton signed the first bill of the state's legislative session into law.

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton signed the first bill of the 2017 state legislative session into law on Friday.
It will provide cuts to 200,000 Minnesotans in an effort to help teachers, college students and homeowners.
But Dayton is still debating with legislation about how to offset health insurance premium hikes.
Although the state’s Senate passed financial help to these premiums, Dayton still wants to pass broader reforms.
They’re still waiting to agree on an upcoming 2-year budget and transportation funding.
