FARGO, N.D. — A new co-op soon to open up in Fargo is looking for new employees and farmers.

Prairie Roots Co-op is looking for farmers to partner up with to get local produce.

They’re also looking to fill spots for a marketing coordinator, department managers and other part time positions.

They have seven positions open at this time and are looking for candidates who are passionate about sustainability and local food.

“It’s a full service grocery store, but we’re owned by our members,” said General Manager Kurt Kopperud. “It’s a little bit of a different model, but it’s the same function. We’re focused on providing natural, organic and local foods.”
