Special Star Wars Day Puts Wisconsin School into Lockdown
Today is globally celebrated by fans of Star Wars as "May the Fourth be with You Day"

ASHWAUBENON, WI — A high school in Wisconsin was evacuated and put into lockdown early this morning after a parent watched a student dressed in what appeared to be a bullet proof vest and a mask enter a back door of the building.
Authorities responded quickly to the scene but after a quick investigation, realized the student was only in costume because of today being May 4th.
Today is globally celebrated by fans of Star Wars as “May the Fourth be with You Day”.
The high school student came to school dressed as a stormtrooper, even though it was against school policy to wear costumes and a mask on school grounds.
Authorities say they are happy the concerned parent called, even if it turned out to be nothing.
“It made a person very concerned and we expect that to happen,” said Captain Jody Crocker who is with Ashwaubenon Public Safety. “We sure hope people would call when this stuff takes place.”
“A student made a mistake today and we’ll move forward,” said Principal Brian Nelson. “We’ll be meeting with the students and emphasize that we need to keep each other safe.”
