Mitchell Man Arrested on First Degree Manslaughter Charge

Police say Lewis stabbed the man three times in the back and once in the torso

MITCHELL, SD — A Mitchell, South Dakota man was arrested after police say he stabbed another man multiple times.

They say 49-year-old Anthony Lewis was awoken by screaming and someone knocking on his door at his apartment.

Lewis allegedly picked up a knife and went outside his apartment complex and confronted a 30-year-old man.

Police say Lewis stabbed the man three times in the back and once in the torso.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Lewis was arrested on a First Degree Manslaughter charge.
