Police Involved in Fatal Shooting of St. Paul Man

Police say they responded to a call for help from a woman who says Lee shot at her and her five children

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The St. Paul man who was killed after being shot by police has been identified.

Phume Lee, 28, died of multiple gunshot wounds just after 6 Thursday night.

Police say they responded to a call for help from a woman who says Lee shot at her and her five children.

When they saw Lee, police say there was a confrontation and they opened fire.

A gun was found at the scene and no officers were hurt.

Investigators are looking at body cam footage worn by the officers involved.
