Spuds Hockey Falls in Top-5 Showdown with Minnetonka

MOORHEAD, Minn. — The fifth-ranked Moorhead Spuds fell to third-ranked Minnetonka 4-1 on Saturday night at the Moorhead Sports Center.

Minnetonka got on the board first in the opening period with a goal by Bobby Brink. Moorhead’s Carter Randklev scored the lone Spuds goal to cut the deficit to one goal in the second period but they could not get any closer.

Moorhead falls to 6-2 on the season.
