Barnesville Woman Hurt After Crash with NDHP Squad Car on I-94

Fenner was ticketed for careless driving and has minor injuries

WEST FARGO, ND — A Barnesville woman was hurt after hitting a North Dakota Trooper squad car on I-94 near West Fargo.

The patrol says the trooper was parked on the median shoulder of the westbound lane at the scene of an accident with emergency lights flashing.

They say 20-year-old Tabetha Fenner was driving westbound in the left lane when she braked and lost control of her vehicle, then slammed into the back of the trooper’s vehicle.

Fenner was ticketed for careless driving and has minor injuries.

The trooper was not hurt.

North Dakota’s move over law states that vehicles must move over for any authorized emergency vehicle that is stopped on the interstate with their lights flashing.

If a driver is unable to move over, they must reduce their speed and proceed with caution.
