Water Main Break Floods Section of University Drive

Traffic was detoured in the area for much of the day while repairs were made

FARGO, ND — A large water main break in Fargo early this morning created quite a mess.

Water from the break on 7th Avenue North near the intersection with University Drive poured onto University and flooded the underpass with up to 3 feet of water making it impassable.

The water main break was reported shortly before 1 a.m.

Crews were able to stop the leak about 4 a.m.

Traffic was detoured in the area for much of the day while repairs were made.
