They say good things come to those who wait and it took 99 years for Millie to make it to her first Vikings playoff game.
She certainly made the most of it.
The team invited her to watch them take on the Saints as an early 100th birthday present and this video of her surprised reaction, went viral.
After brunch with her family, the Vikings sent a car to take her to the stadium, where she had some pre-game advice for her favorite team.
“Bring it home,” Millie called out. “Bring it home!”
Armed with her trusty foam brick and her favorite drink, which happens to be a screwdriver, Millie had a front row seat to a Vikings comeback for the ages and she turned out to be a fan favorite.
Her granddaughter, Ashley Wall, says people have been coming up to them all day. “Hey Millie, high five! Let’s win this! Can I take your picture?” Ashley said with a smile. “She’s a local celebrity. It’s been fun to watch everyone love her as much as we love her.”
She even got a shout out on national television.
By checking at least one item off her bucket list, Millie believes she’s the Vikings good luck charm.
Thanks to the win, she says this was the best birthday present ever.
“I think they did a wonderful job,” Millie said. “They made me very happy.”
