Information on Valley City Shooting Suspect Released

Police are searching for suspect in Wednesday night shooting

UPDATE – Valley City Police release new information on a shooting suspect.

Authorities say he is a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks.

He’s five feet 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark sweatpants and a crewneck sweatshirt. He was last seen driving a tan or light gold late model Pontiac Grand Prix.

Police say he may be from the Chicago area, but has ties to the Fargo-Moorheaad area. A 19-year-old person from Valley City was shot once in the upper body and is recovering in the hospital.

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Authorities are searching for a suspect in a Valley City shooting.

Police say the shooting happened Wednesday night shortly after 8:00.

It happened in the northeast part of town.

When police arrived, they found one man with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a Fargo hospital.

The extent of his injuries is unknown.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
