NDSU Immerses Community in the French Language With Film Festival
The NDSU French Film Festival is going on Feb. 5 through March 5
FARGO, N.D. – The NDSU French Film Festival is a chance to immerse yourself in the French language, even if you don’t know any at all.
Now through March 5th, award-winning French films will be presented at the Downtown Fargo Public Library.
The event is completely free and there is no prior signup needed.
All of the films include English subtitles and popcorn is provided.
The event organizer says the themes of the films are universal.
“Just seeing and listening to people who talk about the films as they’re leaving,” NDSU Associate Professor of French Jeanne Hageman said. “Seeing that they’ve enjoyed the film, seeing that there is a different light about France, about the French speaking world.”
She also suggests the February 9th matinee film for families.
