More NDSU Graduates Taking Jobs in North Dakota, Minnesota
NDSU's Career Center says the recent class's median salary is nearly $50,000
FARGO, N.D. — A higher number of students from North Dakota State University have landed jobs in both Minnesota and North Dakota.
A recent report from the NDSU Career Center says that 56% of graduates employed after college have jobs in North Dakota, while 31% work in Minnesota.
Nearly 80% of those who come from North Dakota stayed in the Peace Garden State after graduating from NDSU.
“You get somewhat of a home court advantage. Students who are here are familiar with the area, they’re wanting to stay in town, so you get students into the different employers, and then you get more students in down the road,” said Scott Beaulier, the Dean of NDSU’s College of Business.
Sanford Health, CNH, Bell Bank, and Doosan Bobcat are among this year’s top employers of NDSU graduates.
