Lakota, ND man killed in t-bone crash on Friday

North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man failed to yield to a Chevrolet Tahoe, traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 2.

LAKOTA, N.D. (KVRR) —  A Lakota, North Dakota man was killed in a car crash when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Highways 2 and 1 in Lakota on Friday afternoon.

They say the 93-year-old Leonard Aamot stopped at the stop sign, but then crossed the highway and was t-boned by an oncoming SUV.

The woman driving the SUV and two juvenile passengers were not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
