ND Governor Directs All Government Agencies to Fly Flags at Half-Staff
Burgum is encouraging North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses
North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum has directed all government agencies to fly the United States and state flags at half-staff until sunset Tuesday.
Burgum is encouraging North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses to show respect for the victims of Friday’s shooting in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Twelve people were killed and several others wounded when a city employee opened fire in the municipal building.
The employee was killed in a gun battle with police.
The governor’s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Donald Trump.
